Architect Ted Kurtz designed this mural based upon the historic architecture of the Larchmere neighborhood. The collaboration to create this piece came between Artists Danny Carver, Katherien Chilcote, Steve Basil, and Emily Eckstrand. We all worked as teaching artists in creating this piece with our annual Summer Mural Institute. This mural was installed on the Life Skills building at 12201 Larchmere. It was designed by Ted Kurtz and created by Building Bridges Art Collaborative. The design features a zig zag structure of space, showing historic sites along the Larchmere neighborhood. The top and bottom of the mural features black and white drawings of the surrounding residential neighborhood as it appeared years ago.
